Two Way Street - Lauren Barnholdt

Summary: There are two sides to every breakup. This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They're even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.
Then Jordan dumps Courtney -- for a girl he met on the Internet.
It's too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney's heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la -- this is Courtney pretending not to care.
But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.
Turns out, he's got a secret or two that he's not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can't get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

Review: So let's go through everything that I love about this book. It's told in alternating points of view, which I know not everyone likes, but I love it. Otherwise I'm always wondering what the other person was thinking. This story is kind of different than most because in most the characters work their way towards an amazing relationship through flirting and the occasionally snide coment and dating. Instead in this book they start with the after-breakup phase. I think that that is a kind of cool twist as opposed to the usual love story, and I love the usual love story too. Plus I really wanted to know why they broke up in the first place. This may sound odd, but my favorite character is actually Jordan's quirky best friend. He's so funny that he isn't what necessarily makes me love the book (and I love a lot of books), but he makes it stand out when I think about it. Trust me you only have to get a few chapters in in order to get what I mean. All in all, great story Lauren Barnholdt did amazing with this one.
